About The Challenge

Whilst the Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge is a competition, the main purpose of the programme is to provide educational and performance opportunities for young performers.

The programme's aim is to ensure that every group that participates leaves the Challenge (at whatever stage) having grown their performance ability, teamwork skills, self-discipline and confidence.

The Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge was created in 2011 because Sir Jack Petchey CBE felt that music brought people together. It was inspired by the popular 'Glee' TV show.

This competition is the tenth iteration of the programme, which has nurtured the talents of thousands of young performers since its inception.
