About The Jack Petchey Foundation
The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up by Sir Jack Petchey CBE to inspire and celebrate young people. Since 1999, over £180 million has been invested in programmes and directly benefited over 1.3 million young people aged 11-25 across London and Essex.
Their flagship grant programme is the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme, which is run in almost 1,500 youth clubs, youth organisations and secondary schools across London and Essex.
The charity also supports many programmes, covering everything from sport to science, art to internships, social change to career workshops. The Foundation encourages every young person to get involved and try something new.
The Foundation fully funds the Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge. It also funds programmes such as Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge, the world’s largest public speaking competition for young people, and Step into Dance, the UK’s largest inclusive dance programme for secondary school students.
